Reasons to love it, and reasons not to

The location is excellent-a quick walk to the beach and close to attractions. Comfortable beds and a tasty breakfast made mornings pleasant.

Check-in was annoyingly slow, and outdated furniture. There are also issues with cleanliness and noise from other guests.

Booked an executive king room even with the curtains open. The hotel was in a magnificent location, to commuter train. It was also just next door to a grocery store, shopping center and the beach and beach.

Bed was very comfortable. Employees very friendly

Towels are thin. Would like comforter for bed in addition to blanket.

Rooms were exactly what we needed for a family vacation. We needed adjoining rooms to fit us and our kids. The hotel was very family friendly and a good distance to Legoland, our destination. The breakfast was great.

It was near Legoland an the outlets. It was quiet during the night and the breakfast was good.

The room even with the curtains open. Comfy and favourable location, it was next to a port. Actually everything was excellent, my next choice again in Carlsbad.

Location, it was just a short walk to the beach and plenty of places to eat within walking distance. The continental breakfast was good, the room itself was spacious enough/clean and the staff was helpful.

Smell of the room was a little muggy but the room was very clean.

Excellent staff, lovely rooms, great pool, awesome breakfast!

Central location to surrounding areas was very nice, I went to outlying towns for the fun of it and had a great time in the area!

Bed was comfortable. Linens were soft. Room was quiet and clean. Could place the king bed a little further from the wall on the one side, but it was ok

Well it was connecting rooms and not really a suite as advertised, but it worked just fine. The toilet ran all night in one room, but with the bathroom door closed it was ok.

Downtown San Diego; Beaches; Biking; Sightseeing; Good price

Breakfast was good. Workers worked hard. But it would be good to have pancakes and/or waffles and or pay for real scrambled eggs and bacon. I do not like the flying saucer eggs and meat product.

The trains are very noisy during the night as they blow their horn going through the level crossing.

The heated pool was fantastic, and I loved the close proximity to attractions. There were also awesome outdoor spaces.

When we arrived and checked the room it had bugs. Not bed bugs but bugs in the bed. Not a boos start for our vacation

It was a good value for the money, neither great or lousy.
